Textures!

This isn’t much of an update or anything but I have got news for you: textures & new icons! I used a tutorial on how to create a wood like texture. Click here! It’s pretty neat. I used it for the textures. I also made an icon using the texture I created. I’ve just finished Season 2 of the series on ShowTime called The Tudors. It’s pretty accurate to the actual happenings between Henry VIII & his wives. Of course there are embellishments such as the fact that everyone is much younger than they should be & much much better looking than they should be, besides the women. They’re supposed to be gorgeous, how else might have they attracted the unfaithful King of England? My brother asked me, “Who cares about history!?” but I do! It holds importance!

The importance of King Henry VIII’s rule is that he brought about tyranny amongst his people yet the people still loved him. He also created a new Church in which he made himself the Head of it. He also got rid of papal rule in England. Of course Queen Mary, his daughter, tried to reinstate Catholicism but Queen Elizabeth I brought the country back to being Protestant. It’s a great series & you should definitely watch it. There happens to be a lot of nudity in it but that’s Showtime for you!

Anyway check the Resources area to find the new textures! Here are some new icons I created. For the James & Adam icon, I used a texture from Sweet Crush. The Josh icon may look similar but I actually used my own brushes to create the glowing effect. I used two pictures I took at Duc’s house for the texture. I don’t think you can identify them but one was a sunflower & the other was a picture of bamboo.

I think I’m going to study with Alex Nguyen tomorrow, gotta get my work done!
