I told you guys I would add updates later. So after I went to bed at 7AM, I woke up at 12PM because I thought that the UPS guy would come around that time but in actuality, he came around 3PM. I told myself to get up because I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep until I got my new lens for my camera & I’ve basically been running on 5 hours of sleep. I’m super tired right now…yet I’m hungry. I experimented with the new lens & even though I only have a couple of pictures to show for it, let me tell you, it’s amazing. I LOVE it to death. I can zoom in all the way across the pond to see the golfers golfing. I can’t wait until I go on the Mexican Riviera cruise this Winter!

Wendy has this great tutorial for installing lightbox so I used lightbox to clean up my Art section. The gallery albums will never change. For one, I’m way too lazy to thumbnail all of those pictures & re-code. So, deal.

I just voted. I am so glad that I finally got to be a part of something so big this year. It really felt like this year, my vote counted, even though I live in California where the vote is always Democrat, it felt great to vote. Especially because I live in the most conservative county & I honestly cannot believe the ridiculous things that were said & done during this election but finally, for the first time in my life, I am very proud to be an American. Tonight, history was made–I am so happy that I got to vote for the first African-American President. Barack Obama won by a landslide in the electoral votes. I couldn’t be more proud to say that our president is Barack Obama. I didn’t vote for him just because he’s of African descent, I voted for him because his issues & his plans for America, I believe, will lead us in the right direction. History was made & to all of you who voted, whether for Barack, John, or Ralph Nader, you were a part of something so historical that you should be proud. There are over 300 million Americans, 207 million are eligible voters, 150 million are registered voters, & around 120 million of you got up & participated. I am so glad that so many of you decided to take a stand, registered, & voted. Especially the youth! Some of the propositions, however, did not turn out the way I had hoped. One day, discrimination will not be tolerated in California; we are BETTER than that & we chose not to vote that way. Despite this, I have so much hope, optimism, & excitement for these next 4 years.

You know how there are 3 types of people to watch out for on the road? Asians, Women, & old people. Alright since I’m Asian & a woman, you gotta watch out for me DOUBLE TIME! You could argue that Conservatives are normally really bad drivers too–them in their semi-trucks driving like maniacs because they don’t care about global warmer versus all the Liberals who own Priuses/Hybrids that just go ZzzzzTtt & have no horsepower whatsoever so it’s not like they can race. Okay so this morning I was driving to school down a one lane road. There was a right lane that was for parking & this car was backing out of her parking spot & decided to pull in front of me when I was oncoming traffic!! I had to slam on my brakes & honked my horn for the longest time. It was a WOMAN. She CRAZY. Then she turns to me (we reached a stop sign) & gently waves to me an, “I’M SORRY I ALMOST KILLED YOU” wave. Like that’s going to make everything okay, you almost gave me a heart attack, lady!!

I know I said I wouldn’t update until I get my to-do list done but I cheated. My bad! I suck at not procrastinating. Okay well I’ve got my calc homework in front of me. I need to go buddy up with Alex this weekend so we can study! Using Blackle instead of Google saves energy so you guys should start doing that! It uses the Google search engine but it’s background is black so that your monitor doesn’t light up as much. Pretty nifty?

I’ve decided that doing the 3 participation point project for English is not worth my time/effort. The AP Government/Economics project is a lot more important since it’s 20% of my final grade. On May 30th, I turned 18! I am now legal! I can buy cigarettes ( ), lotto tickets, scratchers, lighters, Playboy, etc. After school, Viviane, Vy, Amy, Kim, and Bryan joined me to see Sex & The City. It was amazing!! It made me so much. I’ve never cried so hard in a movie theater before, it was embarrassing. I’ve grown with these characters, I just felt the pain they all went through. That sounds so lame but honestly the acting was really astonishing. Then afterward all of us minus Viviane & Amy went to this restaurant called Ikko . It was delicious but expensive. Worth it? It’s really authentic but I wouldn’t say the price is suitable for the small quantity of food. We were definitely still hungry afterward.

Prom followed the day after. I went with bbyboy Andre Nguyen! It was fun, we had dinner at my house. The pictures are up in the photography section. I added 3 new albums to the gallery: Prom, My 18th Birthday (not many pictures were taken…actually a lot were, Bryan deleted all of them. ), & Black Star Canyon. I might end up adding more pictures from a while ago later on this week when everything is done.

We got our yearbooks today, they’re gorgeous. There are only 4 more days left until I’m done with high school; quite the milestone.

Ikram Khan told me today that he got AIM 6. He claims to have been using AIM 5.5 for the longest time & refused to upgrade. I feel him, I used an older version of AIM as well for a while until it just became unreliable & I was forced to use AIM 6. Here’s our conversation:

TOOO SADDDDD. It’s a good thing those AIM developers developed a way better AIM. Well, I’m not a huge fan of AIM 6, I hate it. I prefer AIM 5.5. Caution: Ikram’s screenshots have a file open of his stash of pr0n although you cannot see any inappropriate images, the titles are amusing.

I created my first two brush sets today. They’re not that great or anything but maybe someone might use them, who knows. When I have some more time, I’ll set up a page so that you can download them. I also made some new icons.

There will be icons of Jessica Alba in the near future just for Alex Nguyen & when I finish everything, I will be sure to create some website layouts. I miss making DIV layouts.
